Marketing & HQ Office Support Intern (Paid)

Location:

Charlotte, NC

Schedule:

In-Office (Mandatory) 20 hours per week, between 8:00 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m. Compensation: $18/hour

Internship Overview

Meridian Waste is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Marketing & HQ Office Support Intern to join our Charlotte headquarters. This paid internship offers hands-on experience supporting marketing initiatives, events, community outreach, and general office operations. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to gain real-world experience in corporate marketing and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of corporate events, trade shows, and community outreach initiatives

• Support grassroots marketing and outreach efforts, including internal and external communications

• Help manage social media content, rapid communications, and basic content scheduling

• Provide administrative support to the corporate office, including document organization, electronic file storage, shipping/distribution and expense reporting

• Assist with marketing materials, presentations, and internal communications as needed

• Support day-to-day office operations and special projects across departments

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, collaborative demeanor

• Highly organized with attention to detail, particularly in event coordination and administrative tasks

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

• Working knowledge of social media platforms and digital communication tools

• Ability to produce high-quality work with minimal supervision

• Light lifting (20-25 pounds), office environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field

• Interest in corporate marketing, event management, or communications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with social media management tools is a plus
