Document Control Specialist I – Primary Talent Partners is hiring for a 3‑year contract with a power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. The position is paid at $20.11 – $23.69/hr
, W2, with no PTO or benefits; ACA‑compliant supplemental package available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

DescriptionThis role develops and implements infrastructure to efficiently process, secure, and manage project‑related documentation (vendor, construction, quality records, and vital business documents). The specialist coordinates assembly, reproduction, revision control, and submission for archival of construction work packages.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement document control processes and infrastructure.
- Coordinate assembly, reproduction, and revision control of construction work packages.
- Manage large volumes of project documentation including vendor documents, construction documents, quality records, and engineering deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with document control processes, revision control, and records retention best practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive project documentation.
- High School Diploma required;
College Degree preferred. - 2‑5 years of experience in document control, project controls, records management, or project information management within engineering, construction, utilities, energy, or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of document control processes, revision control, and records retention best practices.
- Proficiency in document management systems (SharePoint, Aconex, Procore, Documentum, Bluebeam, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of construction workflows, engineering documentation, and quality management systems (preferred).
- Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
W2 contract; no PTO or benefits.
