Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This role is integral to our finance department and will play a pivotal role in maintaining an environment of financial integrity and accountability. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and supporting our financial team.

Responsibilities
  • Managing daily accounting activities including preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules, ledgers, and account and bank reconciliations.
  • Assisting with monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts.
  • Drawing up monthly financial reports.
  • Preparing analysis of accounts as requested.
  • Assisting with year-end closings.
  • Administering accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Assisting in budgets and forecasts.
  • Assisting with payroll administration.
  • Accounting for fixed assets.
  • Adhering to internal and external auditing controls.
  • Reviewing and recommending modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Directing internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master’s degree or CPA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in an ERP system like SAP or JD Edwards.
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of statutory accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills.
  • Must be able to prepare financial reports and projections.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and finance software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
