Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing accounts payable operations while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable processes, including coding invoices and performing three-way matching.

- Process approximately 200 invoices weekly, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.

- Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end closing activities to maintain financial accuracy.

- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics (D365) to handle high-volume invoicing efficiently.

- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely check runs and ACH payments.

- Support freight invoice processing and coordinate with vendors to resolve discrepancies.

- Assist in the implementation of systems and processes to improve accounts payable workflows.

- Maintain organized records and documentation for audit purposes.

- Report directly to the Accounting Supervisor and Senior Accounting Manager, providing updates on accounts payable activities.

- Participate in team-building activities and contribute to a relaxed yet detail-oriented work environment. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, with a strong understanding of three-way matching.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics (D365) or similar ERP systems.

- Ability to manage high-volume invoice processing, including freight invoices.

- Background in manufacturing industry accounts payable processes is preferred.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records.

- Proficiency in coding invoices and handling automated clearing house (ACH) payments.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors.

- Experience with month-end closing and account reconciliation tasks.
