Entry Level Accountant

Description We are looking for an Entry Level Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will handle critical accounting tasks, including accounts payable functions, bank reconciliations, and financial data management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is attentive to details to develop their accounting career while contributing to the company's operational success.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable tasks, including receiving, importing, and coding invoices for timely payment.

- Coordinate invoice approvals and ensure adherence to scheduled check runs.

- Maintain vendor records and differentiate relationships between various ownership entities and bank accounts.

- Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements for the Industrial and Multifamily divisions.

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during bank reconciliations.

- Manage monthly overhead fees, billbacks, and reimbursements with accuracy.

- Support seasonal activities such as tenant reconciliations, budget preparation, and tax submissions.

- Organize and maintain both digital and physical records for easy access and compliance.

- Analyze and interpret lease agreements to ensure proper understanding and execution.

- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and thorough communication. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

- Prior accounting experience is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.

- Familiarity with Yardi Voyager software is an advantage.

- Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing applications.

- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial reports, technical instructions, and legal documents.

- Effective communication abilities to interact with clients, colleagues, and regulatory agencies.

- Capability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and adhere to schedules.

- Competence in solving problems, analyzing data, and drawing accurate conclusions based on available information.
