You
  • Education & Experience: You hold at least an Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance (Bachelor’s preferred) and possess 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
  • Technical Proficiency: You are comfortable with MS Excel (creating formulas) and accounting software; experience with Vista or Account Edge is a significant plus.
  • Industry: You have a background in construction
  • Soft Skills: You are a self‑motivated professional who enjoys a transparent, team‑oriented environment and possesses strong attention to detail and math aptitude.
What You’ll Do
  • Financial Operations: Assist with day‑to‑day accounting, record journal entries, and perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Audit & Compliance: Support external auditor requests, perform weekly internal audits of AP/AR aging reports, and conduct quarterly audits of sales tax exemption certificates.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Manage Balance Sheet account reconciliations and maintain vital supporting schedules for annual audits.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Perform monthly reviews of expense accounts, internal jobs, and outstanding purchase orders while recommending procedural changes to improve efficiency.
