Senior Accountant - Temporary

Carolina PRG is partnering with an organization in the Charlotte area to identify a Temporary Senior Accountant to support the accounting team during a period of transition and increased workload. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys stepping into a fast-paced environment, owning key close responsibilities, and providing immediate support to leadership.

This role will play a critical part in supporting day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Support the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate balance sheet schedules and ensure timely resolution of variances
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis for internal leadership
• Partner with operations and finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking as needed
• Provide audit support by preparing schedules and responding to documentation requests
• Help strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation during the assignment

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a Senior Accountant or similar role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• ERP system experience required (Net Suite, Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, or similar)
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and take ownership of deliverables
