TBE is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant - Entry Level to support transactional accounting functions, accounts payable processing, and general accounting administration. This role will play a key part in supporting the accounting team as transaction volume increases and ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial processes.
This position requires to be in the Charlotte office 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation, processing, and entry of vendor invoices and employee expense reports
- Serve as primary support for Accounts Payable as transaction volume grows
- Support monthly billing cycles by gathering required backup documentation from project teams
- Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and match receipts to expense reports
- Support timekeeping compliance and follow up on missing or incomplete timesheets
- Assist with issuing client invoices and tracking payment activity
- Deposit and post accounts receivable collections, ensuring payments are applied accurately to the correct project
- Support month-end close activities and respond to audit requests as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
- 2–5 years of related accounting or financial experience
- Prior experience in engineering, construction, or architectural environments is highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel preferred
