POSITION: Junior Accountant
LOCATION: Charlotte, North Carolina
REPORTS TO: Controller
POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a Junior Accountant with 1–3 years of accounting experience to support daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities. This role will work closely with the Controller, President and Leaders to ensure accurate and timely financial processing across the organization.
This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in both GAAP and statutory accounting and insurance industry transactions while contributing to a growing, high-performing team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Payables and receivables management
:
Review, book and send for approval all Truss Peak’s payables. Produce and deliver quarterly administrative services invoices and management fee invoices - Drawdowns
:
Help create, deliver and track drawdown notices in connection with Truss Peak entities - GAAP accounting
:
Contribute to review and production of Truss Peak’s monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Help implement Truss Peak’s statutory-to-GAAP conversion process - Statutory accounting
:
Learn basic statutory accounting and aid Truss Peak’s Controller with statutory accounting tasks as assigned - Annual audit
:
Help gather and organize documents relevant to Truss Peak’s annual audit
Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in business finance/accounting or related field (required)
Experience
:
- 1-3 years of professional accounting experience
- Prior experience in financial services is strongly preferred
- Exposure to financial reporting is preferred
- Experience with Net Suite or similar ERP/accounting systems is helpful

Travel
: 4-6 times per year, mainly to Leaders’ office in Tulsa, OK
