Analyzes and maintains a complete and accurate general ledger; takes ownership for a selection of account reconciliations and performs analyses and reports for management as requested.
Essential Functions- General ledger account reconciliations of assigned accounts.
- Analyzes records of journal entries and/or cash transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries.
- Organizes and maintains journal entry and supporting documentation ensuring that all entries are adequately supported and organized / accessible facilitating efficient review.
- Assist in the development, modification, documentation and implementation of accounting system and process changes.
- Seeks ways to continually improve accounting and organizational processes and procedures to gain efficiency and provide value to internal and external customers.
- Assists in maintaining and monitoring a sound internal control environment and participates in the physical inventory count and/or review process as needed.
- Assist in the annual independent audit process by providing information as requested and through various accounting analyses as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
- Three to five years of experience, mix of public and private experience preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) candidate preferred
