Accounts Payable Specialist

Carolina PRG is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization in Charlotte that’s seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract assignment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency within the AP function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, coding, and appropriate approvals.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and research discrepancies to maintain up-to-date records.
• Manage weekly payment cycles, including checks, ACH transactions, and wire transfers.
• Support month-end close activities by preparing accruals and assisting with account reconciliations.
• Maintain vendor documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and year-end reporting requirements.
• Partner cross-functionally with purchasing and operations to resolve invoice or payment issues promptly.
• Utilize Excel tools such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs to analyze AP data and identify variances.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP systems.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Prior AP experience in a corporate or manufacturing setting preferred.
