Senior Accountant

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will serve as a key member of the accounting team, owning complex accounting activities across multiple legal entities. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep balance sheet expertise, and experience supporting construction and/or renewable energy (solar) accounting environments
. The ideal candidate is highly independent, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-entity structure.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
  , including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations
  , identifying errors, inconsistencies, and missing data; investigate and resolve discrepancies independently
• Support accounting for complex entity structures
  , including multi-tiered consolidations, joint ventures (JV), and intercompany transactions
• Assist with consolidation processes and elimination entries across multiple legal entities
• Support accounting related to construction projects and/or renewable energy solar development and owner-operator activities
  , including project cost tracking, capitalization, and revenue recognition as applicable
• Partner cross-functionally with project management, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and system efficiencies
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Proven experience as a Net Suite user
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to reconcile balance sheet accounts and pinpoint errors and missing data
• Experience working with complex entity structures
  , including consolidations and JV accounting
• Experience in construction accounting and/or renewable energy (solar) development or owner-operator accounting
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling)

• CPA or CPA-eligible
• Experience in EPC, infrastructure, or utility-scale project environments
• Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-currency environments
