Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, managing payables within Net Suite, and supporting weekly payment runs. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple vendors and deadlines.
Responsibilities- Process and code vendor and supplier invoices accurately and timely
- Monitor the accounting inbox for incoming invoices and vendor correspondence
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents, as applicable
- Resolve invoice discrepancies by coordinating with vendors and internal teams
- Prepare and submit weekly AP payment runs (ACH, check, wire)
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9s and payment terms
- Track open payables and ensure invoices are paid according to agreed terms
- Enter, maintain, and reconcile accounts payable transactions in Net Suite
- Assist with month-end close related to accounts payable (accruals, reconciliations)
- Support audit requests by providing AP documentation and reports
- Maintain organized digital records and supporting documentation
- Previous professional accounts payable or general accounting experience
- Experience working in an ERP system;
Net Suite experience strongly preferred - Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Comfortable communicating with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, sorting, filtering)
- High level of professionalism and discretion with financial information
