Senior Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Senior Accountant to join our client's growing team in the Charlotte, NC market. This role will focus on assisting with all day-to-day accounting operations including preparing accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate is a go-getter and hard worker who is driven by precision and a commitment to excellence.

• Manage and execute month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Ensure full compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory standards.
• Perform and review account reconciliations for various general ledger accounts.
• Lead efforts in preparing for financial audits by gathering documentation and preparing necessary schedules.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement process improvements that streamline accounting operations and enhance accuracy.
• Assist with financial analysis and reporting to support strategic business decisions.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Accounting strongly preferred).
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA required or actively pursuing CPA certification.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and other regulatory standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
• A proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
