Accounts Payable Accountant

Carolina PRG has partnered with a rapidly expanding manufacturing organization in the Charlotte area to identify an Accounts Payable Accountant to join their finance team. This company is continuing to invest in new systems, operational efficiency, and its people, creating a strong opportunity for an accounting professional who wants broad exposure and long-term growth. This role offers hands-on involvement across core accounting functions while working closely with cross-functional teams.

• Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and basic financial reporting
• Partner with operations to assist with inventory costing, tracking, and related updates
• Maintain clean, organized financial records and supporting documentation
• Process vendor invoices, expense activity, and credit card transactions
• Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with system enhancements
• Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance
• Support state and local compliance efforts, including sales and use tax tracking
• Assist with cross-functional and ad hoc accounting projects as the business continues to grow

• Exposure to ERP systems; experience with Acumatica is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable working in a changing environment
• Clear communicator who works well across departments
• Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn and expand skill sets
