Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing and processing financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational policies. This position offers the opportunity to work within the healthcare industry, contributing to efficient financial operations.

Responsibilities:

- Process and verify accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company protocols.

- Handle invoice coding and account coding to maintain organized and accurate records.

- Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and ensure timely payment processing.

- Execute check runs and ensure checks are distributed promptly and correctly.

- Review and reconcile discrepancies in invoices and payment records.

- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment issues efficiently.

- Maintain compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies.

- Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable activities for management review.

- Support process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounts payable operations.

- Provide guidance and support to team members as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and account coding.

- Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in financial records.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.

- Proficiency in financial software and tools relevant to accounts payable.

- Ability to collaborate with team members and vendors to resolve payment issues.

- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.

- Strong communication skills to convey information clearly and professionally.
