LHH is hiring for a Director of Accounting for our client on an interim consulting basis in Charlotte, NC. Qualified candidates will be a CPA, have public accounting experience and experience within a publicly traded company.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and enhance corporate accounting processes (journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis).
- Strengthen internal controls and support SOX compliance.
- Manage reporting deliverables for monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
- Serve as a primary contact for internal and external audits.
- Develop and refine policies, procedures, and workflow improvements.
- Partner across the business to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
- Drive continuous improvement using technology and automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- Active CPA (required)
- 12+ years of experience including public accounting and public company experience
- Experience managing or improving accounting processes
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
