The Investment Accountant II ensures that investment accounting policies and procedures are correctly applied to accounting records. Under general supervision, this job works directly with third‑party property managers, auditors, and tax specialists.

• Audit monthly accounting and reporting by third‑party property managers for multiple real‑estate holdings and perform various analyses.
• Review monthly reporting of joint venture investments and prepare corresponding equity packages.
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and reports.
• Meet strict daily and monthly deadlines.
• Prepare work papers for SEC and investor reporting.
• Act as the primary accounting contact for questions and issues from third‑party property managers.
• Prepare fund‑level accounting entries and valuation adjustments ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal guidelines.
• Assist with audit and tax requests as necessary.
• Interact regularly with management, peers, and internal and external business partners.
• Assist managers with projects and ad‑hoc requests as necessary.

University degree (preferred).

2+ years required; 3+ years preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary work.

• 2+ years accounting experience.

• 3+ years real estate/property accounting experience.
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Knowledge of Yardi system.
• CPA certification.
• Strong proficiency in Excel.
• Knowledge of Power Query.

Base Pay Range: $29.57/hr – $41.44/hr actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience, time in role, internal peers, performance, and location. The compensation package may include incentive programs linked to performance.
