We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations and support a dynamic financial services team. This position is ideal for a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality internal and external customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client invoicing, ensuring contract compliance and accuracy across multiple office locations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including entry recording, vendor/customer setup, and payment tracking using Quick Books (or similar software).
- Maintain and track billing and commission records for internal advisors.
- Enforce revenue recognition rules based on executed work orders.
- Administer the corporate card program, including monthly reconciliation and follow-up.
- Support HR functions such as onboarding, offboarding, and employee handbook updates.
- Assist with request for proposals (RFPs) and gather required documents (e.g., certificates of insurance, financial statements, business licenses).
- Serve as the primary contact for external audit requests and assist with annual audit preparation.
- Manage year-end compliance tasks including 1099s, license renewals, tax information preparation, and financial statement drafting.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and special initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with Quick Books or other accounting software preferred.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Comfortable managing sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality required.
