Job Overview – Senior Accountant – Capital Assets – 33923

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Technical Accounting Analyst to support complex accounting and reporting activities across capital assets, intangibles, internally developed software, and client investments. This role will provide accounting guidance, perform internal control testing, and support both internal and external audits. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical accounting skills, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate with senior leadership across multiple sectors.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on capitalization, intangibles, internally developed software, PP&E, and leases.
  • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate capitalization qualifications and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
  • Review client contracts to confirm compliance with operational and financial terms.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly internal control testing of assets, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparing roll forwards and detailed general ledger support.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes related to capital assets, including recording journal entries in SAP.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that strengthen policies, procedures, and balance sheet integrity.
  • Prepare monthly reports, presentations, and process documentation as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • 2-3 years of accounting or audit experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with senior management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proactive team mindset.
