• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits such as greeting, eye contact, courtesy, and Walgreens service traits such as offering help proactively, identifying needs, and servicing until satisfied.

• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
• Recommend items for sale and trade‑ups or companion items.
• Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash, distribute change, process voids, returns, refunds, exchanges, and direct customers to OTC aisle when possible.
• Keep counters and shelves clean, merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records; check in and price merchandise as required.
• Perform duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify accuracy, and check for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policies and the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Handle telephone calls not requiring pharmacist attention, including to physicians.
• Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services.
• Assist Pharmacy Department with inventory management activities and maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws for regulated products.
• Construct and maintain displays and promotional merchandise.
• Assist with food item separation, product placement, and stock rotation using FIFO.
• Maintain knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provide customer service in photo area and related services.
• Assume web pick‑up responsibilities.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean store appearance.
• Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and complete special assignments as assigned.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through designated training program or state‑required certification/registration.
• Attend training, complete PPLs, and acquire continuing education credits to maintain knowledge and skills in healthcare and pharmacy.

• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking in English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Experience in a retail environment (six months or more).
• Previous work experience with Walgreens.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
