CDL Class A Transport Driver

Overview

CDL Class A Transport Driver (Open) – Local shuttle position in Charleston, WV.

Location:

Charleston, WV - Filling industrial.

• Operates a Class A Hazmat vehicle, transporting individual gas cylinders to other Airgas locations.
• Forklift Training and Certification provided.
• Maintain accurate load manifests and documents.
• Foster strong customer relationships, provide cost and delivery information.
• Monitor and adjust cylinder levels to prevent emergencies.
• Analytical problem-solving for customer inquiries.
• Safely load/unload, deliver, and retrieve cylinders and hard goods.

Airgas is Hiring for a Local Class A Shuttle Driver in Charleston, WV. We are looking for you. Forklift training and Haz Mat endorsement considered (60 days to obtain for the right candidate).

• Monday - Friday, start time 2 am – Home Daily
• Benefits Eligibility: 30 days
• Possible weekends (on call)

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL
• Haz Mat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
• Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check
• DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers required
• Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lb, occasionally 76 lb and above
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying temperatures
• Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace
• Adherence to safety regulations and policies
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Touch freight delivery experience
