Summary
The purpose of this class within the organization is to operate heavy equipment on job sites, assigned facilities and other designated locations for a department, division or work unit. This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
Work HoursThis position will be expected to work a designated schedule established by the Department Head.
Qualifications- Education / Experience:
High School Diploma or GED. Requires one year of equipment operation experience or closely related experience. - Certifications / Licenses:
Class A or B Commercial Driver's License required. Endorsements preferred, but not required. - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Operates a broad range of equipment which may include Riverbank Tractors, Right-of-Way Tractors, Vactor Trucks, Backhoe, Excavator, Endloader, Grader, Blacktop Paver, Roller, Tree Trucks, Dump Trucks and/or other equipment.
- Collaborates with and assists construction crews when necessary and required.
- Loads and unloads equipment, tools, and job materials.
