Plant Operator/Class A Backup Driver

Location: Charleston, WV – Filling industrial

This role, open within Airgas, involves safe filling of industrial, medical, and specialty gas products into liquid gas cylinders, complying with regulations and standard operating procedures. It may also include occasional back‑up duties as a driver and administrative support.

• Operate forklifts – training and certification provided.
• Maintain safety compliance, adhere to regulations and policies.
• Assist with driver responsibilities and administrative tasks as needed.

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL with working HAZMAT endorsement (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
• Successful completion of Airgas background and motor vehicle check.
• DOT clearinghouse verification from previous employers required.
• Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs., occasionally 76–100 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
• Ability to maintain a drug‑free workplace.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience.
• Touch freight delivery experience.
