This is the travel role across the Eastern US. Crews work a 3-week on, 1-week off schedule (or 5 days on, 2 days off, depending on location).
We’re looking for senior tradespeople with casing or rock drilling experience. Drillers are frontline team members responsible for drilling holes, monitoring their condition, and leading crews in the operation and care of drilling equipment. This role supports achieving company goals, maintaining reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities- Work with a Project Manager, Superintendent and teammates to apply your skills safely and efficiently.
- Contribute in your specialty area and assist with tasks that drive project success.
- Travel across the US to perform work with travel schedules as noted above.
- Learn and apply new skills across machines, soils technology, specialty techniques, leadership and problem-solving.
- 3+ years of geotechnical drilling experience
- Deep knowledge of geotechnical tooling and drilling techniques
- Casing Drilling or Rock Drilling experience (Cammachio, Klemm, Casagrande and Fraste drills)
- Maintain drills for optimal functionality and collaborate on maintenance requirements
- Maintain drill logs, as-builts, and other project documentation
- At least one year of traveling construction labor experience
- At least one year of working outside in all conditions
- Ability to meet daily production targets
- Problem-solving history and ability to derive solutions
- Commitment to safety principles and proper use of tools
- Ability to be punctual consistently
- Climates vary from tropical to desert environments
- Moderate noise; hearing protection often required
- Exposure to typical construction site hazards
- Regular heavy lifting (75 lbs+)
Up to 100% travel across the U.S.
Compensation- This is a GMT3 job posting. The wage for that role is $24 - $26/hour
- Hourly rate based on experience; pay increases with more experience and technical expertise
