This position provides overall leadership, direction, guidance, program planning, management and administration of all Health Promotion and Chronic Disease’s (HPCD) funded Tobacco prevention efforts. This position involves various duties such as managing the Quitline vendor agreement which includes selecting services, budgeting, reporting, approving expenditures, and other grants management duties as needed. This position will also align goals and activities toward improved health and increased access to cessation services and other tobacco prevention efforts.
Provide technical assistance to partners and other organizations about Quitline services internally and externally. This position will also work to connect people, programs and resources related to Quitline services and other tobacco prevention efforts.
- Provide leadership, direction, guidance, program planning, management and administration of HPCD-funded tobacco prevention efforts.
- Manage the Quitline vendor agreement, including selecting services, budgeting, reporting, approving expenditures, and other grants management duties as needed.
- Align goals and activities toward improved health and increased access to cessation services and other tobacco prevention efforts.
- Provide technical assistance to partners and other organizations about Quitline services internally and externally.
- Connect people, programs and resources related to Quitline services and other tobacco prevention efforts.
- Training: Bachelor s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
- Substitution: Additional experience as described below may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience: Four years full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a technical or program area related to the area of employment.
- Substitution: Post-graduate education in a field related to the technical or program area may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours for one year of experience.
- Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the Health and Human Resources series may substitute for the required training and experience.
