Core ResponsibilitiesAs a Data Warehouse Specialist 2 working in the Office of Management Information Services, your core responsibilities will include:
Dashboard Development and Design- Build and deploy production‑ready dashboards by translating validated wireframes into functional visual analytics.
- Create complex DAX or Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, configure interactive filters, and optimize canvas backgrounds.
- Develop low‑to‑high fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma to define layouts and navigation paths.
- Maintain a library of reusable UI components to ensure consistent branding across all enterprise dashboards.
- Design and maintain specialized data structures tailored to wireframe requirements.
- Optimize back‑end data pipelines to support high‑performance, responsive visuals without processing lag.
- Document data lineage from source systems to the final visual layer to support long‑term maintenance.
- Lead stakeholder meetings to develop Statements of Work and clarify technical requirements.
- Use Figma’s collaborative features to secure stakeholder approval on blueprints before initiating coding or data modeling.
- Conduct walkthroughs and training sessions for stakeholders on dashboard features and usage.
- Implement automated validation scripts and manual testing protocols to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between source systems and the warehouse to prevent "bad data" from reaching end users.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) defining the end‑to‑end workflow from discovery to final deployment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Training: A Bachelor Degree from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- An Associate Degree in a related field and two years of full‑time or equivalent part‑time paid experience in report design with one or more current specialized reporting tools may substitute for the required training.
- Four years of full‑time or equivalent part‑time paid experience in report design with one or more current specialized SQL reporting tools may substitute for the required training.
- Successful completion of an authorized certification program emphasizing the capabilities and functionality of the specialized reporting tools may substitute for two years of experience listed in (1) and (2) above.
Two years of full‑time or equivalent part‑time paid experience in report design with one or more current specialized SQL reporting tools.
