Overview
Nature of Work — 1 Vacancy — Kanawha County. Under general supervision, employee will compile all data/information from source documents such as law enforcement, county medical examiner/coroner, toxicology, medical examiner, medical records, birth and death certificates, autopsy reports, Adult Protective Services (APS) / Child Protective Services (CPS), Emergency Management Services (EMS) and 911. Responsible for abstracting and coding information from source documents and input data/information into the national violent death reporting system for the state unintentional drug overdose reporting surveillance (SUDORS) section of the Enhanced State Opioid Surveillance (ESOOS) grant through the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Will attend relevant meetings, conferences, training and webinars to ensure/maintain competency and other duties as assigned.

- Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
- Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience performing routine office work.
- Substitution: College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
