Cardiac Cath/EP Lab Technologist

Location: CAMC Health System Start Date: 2/9/2026 Hours per Week: Varies by shift (Cath: 40; EP: 40)

About the Role

The facility is seeking three Cardiac Cath/EP Lab Technologists (Rad Techs with Cath/EP experience) to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. The technologist will assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac disease, vascular disease, and arrhythmias while providing scrub support for PTCA, stent placement, IABP, EP devices, ablations, and structural heart procedures.

This role requires strong technical proficiency, the ability to function as a scrub tech, and hands-on experience in both Cath and EP environments. Candidates must be comfortable supporting complex interventional and electrophysiology procedures and working with advanced imaging and mapping systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures

  • Provide scrub support for PTCA, stents, IABP, Impella, structural heart procedures, and EP interventions

  • Support EP studies, mapping, ablations, PVI, pacemakers, defibrillators, and Micra PM

  • Operate Siemens Artis

    Z, Q, ICONO (Cath), Volcano/Philips IVUS, Boston US, Carto, Farapulse, Farawave, ESI, Medtronic PM, and Abbott/St. Jude PM systems

  • Prepare and position patients for procedures

  • Maintain sterile technique and radiation safety standards

  • Document procedures accurately and support workflow efficiency

  • Collaborate with cardiologists, EP physicians, and interdisciplinary teams

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Shift Schedule

Cath Lab Shifts:

  • 4×10s, mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts

  • Schedule range: 6:30 AM – 8:30 PM

  • Fridays: latest shift ends at 7:00 PM

EP Lab Shifts:

  • 4×10s

  • 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Contract Length: Not specified (standard 13–14 weeks unless noted)

Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of CCAHEP or ASCP/SCP accredited program preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, anatomy, physiology, or related field preferred

  • At least 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred

  • Scrub experience required

  • EP experience required

  • ACLS/PALS per contract requirements

  • Current CPR (if applicable)

  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as required)

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Compensation Packages

Travel Technologist Hourly Pay: $50/hr Meals: $476 Housing: $805 Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,281
