CTL Engineering is hiring Traffic Engineers (all levels - EI, P.E./PTOE, Sr-level P.E.

-PTOE/PM). We Are Hiring For All Career Levels:
New grad/entry level, Mid-career, Senior-level P.E. or PTOE/Project Manager. CTL Engineering () is an award winning, full service consulting engineering firm with 15 locations across OH, IN, WV, KY, NC, SC, and VA with a rich history over our 97 years in business. We provide civil/site design and land surveying, environmental, geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design, troubleshooting & installation, transportation design (bridge/roadway), and specialized testing services to the construction industry.

We Are Looking For Traffic Engineers Who Will Be Involved In The Full Spectrum Of Operations And Maintenance Of Traffic Engineering Work – From Conception Through Completion.

• Preparing plan sets for traffic control, signing, pavement marking, signal, lighting;
• Gathering data and preparing special studies;
• Performing operational and maintenance checks for traffic signals, lighting and Intelligent Transportation Systems;
• Analyzing and evaluating roadways to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with WVDOH standards and guidelines;
• You’ll leverage your expertise in traffic study/design and creative problem-solving skills while collaborating closely with institutions/municipal agencies;
• This position will use your experience while developing new skills to assist clients through our cross-functional team dynamic and company culture;

• Prepare signing, striping, temporary traffic control, signal, lighting and Intelligent Transportation construction plans and specifications to ensure compliance with standards and project schedule.
• Provide technical assistance to construction inspectors in the field to verify construction conforms to WVDOH traffic specifications/ plans.
• Create, update, and archive as-built plans.
• Develop and implement traffic signal timing parameters in accordance with WVDOH standards.
• Perform operational and maintenance checks to ensure the signal functions correctly.
• Review construction plans for accuracy and provide comments to other functional areas.
• Gather data such as sight distance, safety, no passing, infrastructure inventory, Before/After, crash, etc. to complete special studies.
• Analyze the traffic data for reporting, planning, and study purposes.
• Update and maintain crash information/databases and create detailed crash studies using Linear Referencing System (LRS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software.
• Assist with the analysis, scheduling, oversight, identification, and inspection of marking utility locations.
• Respond to customer inquiries/request by translating technical information into responses easily understood by the general public.
