Position: Dental Assistant (Registered)

Agency Dental Assistant – Greater Charleston, WV

Duties and Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Welcome and prepare patients for treatment, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.

Record Keeping: Gather and document medical and dental histories, including allergies and medications, and take vital signs.

Radiography: Perform necessary radiographic imaging, adhering to safety protocols.

Chairside Assistance: Provide support during various dental procedures, anticipating the provider’s needs.

Education: Help educate patients about their dental health, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.

Infection Control: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all infection control policies.

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all dental equipment is functioning properly, keeping maintenance logs as needed.

Supply Management: Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring necessary supplies are always on hand.

Collaboration: Work alongside a dedicated team of professionals, fostering positive relationships with coworkers and patients.

Community Engagement: Participate in community health programs, promoting oral health education and awareness.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.
Completed dental assistant training from an accredited CDA program.
Experienced professional - 1-2 years of work experience preferred**
Strong references and work history
Eligible to perform expanded duties under the direct supervision of a dentist, as defined by the WV Board of Dentistry.
