1. Under general supervision, performs full-performance level work in multiple-step clerical tasks calling for interpretation and application of office procedures, rules and regulations.
Duties include:
answering telephones, screening calls, taking messages/complaints, greeting the public, giving out general information, referring to other departments, agencies, businesses; receiving, sorting and distributing incoming/outgoing mail, maintaining postage supplies and processing outgoing mail; scheduling appointments and keeping patient/client records updated in computer; completing routine daily office tasks; ordering and maintaining supply of necessary forms and applications for all programs; maintaining lab and program(s) tracking system in computer;
typing letters/correspondences; printing a variety of documents/vouchers/transactions; typing and mailing inspections or official notifications to state offices; maintaining Rolodex card filing system on all septic and water well permits; collecting fees for service or permits and writing receipts; calculating reports/bank deposits/fees collected from clients/customers; maintaining and documenting medical information, and appointment information in patient’s medical record; and receiving and processing X-ray files obtained from patient.
- Assist in the Agency’s operations by assuring normal procedures are followed at county offices.
- Serve as liaison for the county office.
- May act as onsite spokesperson for the agency, as directed by the Executive Director, or designee.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Training:
Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent. - Experience:
Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in routine office work. - Substitution:
College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience. - Note:
