Summary Description
Responsible for time-sensitive and highly confidential records production arising from legal process service and internal requests. Provides support to the bank’s paralegal in preparation of document production for pending legal matters.
- Responds to and prepares document production arising from the service of subpoenas, summons, search warrants and court orders from local, state and federal courts (including confidential requests from federal grand juries), municipal and state law enforcement agencies, and federal agencies such as FBI, IRS, CIA and National Security Agency and attorneys with customer authorizations
- Responsible for administration of garnishments, suggestion orders and tax levies on customer accounts. This includes, but is not limited to, freezing customer accounts, transferring funds, preparation of correspondence to the customer, and preparation of Answers to the court, attorneys and customers
- Responds to requests for document production for pending legal matters
- Responds to subpoenas to appear as a witness in hearings and trials
- Assist company paralegal in preparation of documents/files for potential litigation matters
- Accesses and has knowledge of the bank’s various archival/retrieval systems including, optical disks, microfilm, digital storage files and hard copy loan files and signature cards
- Maintains record of billable hours charged to requester of documents including preparation of invoices and pursues collection efforts on unpaid invoices
- Maintains records of all document production and copies of all power of attorneys submitted by retail staff
- Responds to Fin Cen 314(a) report from Homeland Security/OFAC for comparison of names on Silverlake deposit/loan accounts
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years bank operations experience
- Knowledge of internal policies, procedures and operations
- Work is generally performed indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
- Typically the employee may sit to perform the work. However, there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of the work
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
- Must be able to prioritize workload to meet all daily deadlines for document requests
- Strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of bank documents and records
- Familiarity with banking archival and retrieval systems
- Excellent desktop computer application skills
