REPORTS TO:
Controller and Chief Financial Officer
POTENTIAL SALARY: $41,000 - $46,000
NORMAL
HOURS:
Full-Time Monday-Friday 8:30 am — 4:30 pm
LOCATION:
900 Washington Street, East, Charleston, West Virginia
This position is currently a part of a four-person team within the Office of Administrative Services serving the WV Conference of the United Methodist Church, and its congregations, including pastors and church treasurers, and other church members.

- Go to Post Office Mail Box at the start of each day
- Sort and deliver within the office
- Process income received by the Office of Administrative Services daily or as required by Controller
- Using Financial Software — Enter all receipts and run various reports including monthly and or quarterly statements for churches passing on journal entry information to the Controller
- Upload monthly church statements to the Conference Website Administrator
- Answer calls as they are received, usually in reference to payments churches have made or need to make, questions regarding other miscellaneous remittances
- Take all deposits to the bank at the end of each day
- Process Monthly Loan Billing and Payments for currently 3 loans
- Process online donations and event registrations once per week, passing on journal entry information to the Controller
- File all remittance information in the way instructed by the Controller;
Keep the office and records organized - Maintain the Office of Administrative Services Database including Church information including yearly financial goals;
Make Pastor and Church Treasurer changes as they are requested by other offices within the Conference or Controller - Make packets of forms and envelopes to send out to Churches as requested by the church
- Issue Letters / receipts for individual donations each month
- Issue Form 1098 to the housing loan customers at the end of the year
- Yearly, assist Controller with import of new church financial goals to our software remittance system
- Keep Paper, Envelopes, Supplies stocked
- Assist in Other Administrative Duties as requested such as scanning documents etc.

- General Knowledge of Accounts Receivable
- Knowledge of the United Methodist Church preferred
