The Logistician 2 provides mid-level logistics support for Marine Corps acquisition and sustainment programs. This position assists in planning, coordinating, and executing logistics functions to ensure operational readiness and lifecycle support of Marine Corps systems, with a focus on C4
ISR systems.
This is position is on-site in Charleston, SC.
Position Duties:- Develop and maintain Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plans, strategies, and documentation.
- Analyze engineering and systems management data to identify logistics requirements and recommend solutions.
- Prepare and maintain logistics reports, briefings, and data summaries for program stakeholders.
- Support supply chain management activities, including inventory control, provisioning, and material forecasting.
- Utilize Marine Corps logistics systems (e.g., LCM+, GCSS-MC) for data entry, tracking, and analysis.
- Develop logistics plans and procedures in accordance with DoD and Marine Corps guidelines.
- Monitor readiness metrics and assist in identifying trends or issues.
- Coordinate with engineering, program management, and supply teams to ensure timely delivery of parts and services.
- Contribute to maintenance planning, configuration management, and lifecycle sustainment activities.
- Supervise Logistics Specialists as required.
- Support obsolescence tracking and disposal planning for end-of-life systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Familiarity with Marine Corps acquisition or sustainment programs.
- Knowledge of DoD 5000 series acquisition policies and Marine Corps logistics procedures.
- Certifications such as DAWIA Life Cycle Logistics or Certified Professional Logistician (CPL).
Required:
- DoD Secret Clearance
- MUST BE A US CITIZEN to receive security clearance
- Three (3) years of experience in defense life cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, including logistics principles, practices, and processes.
- One (1) year of experience supporting C4
ISR systems. - Demonstrated skills in:
- Analyzing engineering/systems management data.
- Developing logistics plans and procedures.
- Applying logistics management plans and guidelines.
Travel 1-2 weeks per year as needed.
Education:- Bachelor’s degree
- Working toward Professional Logistics Certification (e.g., DAWIA Life Cycle Logistics Level I) OR equivalent logistics training (resume must specify all equivalent training) OR possess one (1) additional year of experience in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics.
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
