Sanders Brother Construction Company is currently seeking a safe and professional Tri-Axle Dump Truck Driver (Driver I) to support their Charleston area operations. Drivers will be responsible for hauling asphalt and aggregate material loads to various worksites within the local area. Additionally, the driver may be required to operate water and/or fuel truck as needed to support operational demands based on the candidate's endorsement qualifications.

• Drive and operate a tri-axle dump truck for the purposes of hauling and delivering construction related materials used for the building of roads, site development and asphalt production.
• Maintain DOT driving qualifications.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed which may require working more than 40 hours but within DOT requirements weekly.
• Work in varying weather conditions and work environments including dusty, wet, loud noises, etc.
• Keep company vehicle clean and orderly, informing management of any safety concerns or vehicle problems.
• Comply with all SBCC policies, procedures and safety requirements.
• Perform any other general duties as specified.

• Must possess a valid Class A or B commercial driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record by complying with standards established by SBCC policy.
• 3+ Years operating/driving a commercial vehicle in a construction environment (preferred)
• Maintain DOT medical certification.
• Must obtain a negative drug test result prior to hire and maintain throughout term of employment.
• Must meet SBCC's employment standards with regards to background checks.
• Must have the ability to stand, crawl and kneel for long periods of time.
• Work environments will vary making it necessary to tolerate weather conditions, such as rain and extreme temperatures. Employees may be exposed to dust, dirt, varying temperatures, loud noises, etc.

Tank and/or Hazmat Endorsements.
Experience driving Tri-Axle dump truck in a construction environment.
High school diploma/GED preferred.
Candidates are encouraged to provide a current 3-year MVR (at time of application), pass background screen and pre-employment drug test.
