Job Description Summary
Responsible for driving a box truck, collection, delivery, and processing of solid waste and recyclables from all university and hospital buildings. Provides prompt, efficient, reliable service which meets or exceeds customer expectations. Works independently or with students, faculty, and staff on a daily basis.
Responsibilities- Drive a box truck and perform collection, delivery, and processing of solid waste and recyclables from university and hospital buildings.
- Provide prompt, efficient, reliable service which meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Work independently or with students, faculty, and staff on a daily basis.
- One year experience in the operation or maintenance of heavy equipment, motorized vehicles or machinery related to the area of employment.
- Some positions require a valid driver's license and/or commercial driver's license.
- Ability to perform job functions in various positions (upright, seated, walking) and in different environments (indoors/outdoors).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs., with other listed physical capabilities and sensory requirements as described in the original job posting.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license. Computer literacy. Ability to work overtime as required.
