- Operate heavy equipment or motor vehicles.
- Perform maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and drawbridges.
- Transport visitors, state employees, officials, patients, or supplies.
- Purchase equipment and supplies.
- Maintain records of repair costs, parts, labor, fuel, and mileage.
- Maintain insurance records and submit insurance claims.
- Operate heavy equipment in the construction of highways.
- One year experience in the operation or maintenance of heavy equipment, motorized vehicles, or machinery directly related to this field.
- Valid driver’s license; a commercial driver’s license may be required.
- Perform job functions in upright, seated, walking/mobile, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working indoors and outdoors in all weather, working from elevated areas, confined/cramped spaces, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, pinching, using both hands/arms, repetitive motions, using both legs, reaching in all directions, using finger dexterity, maintaining tactile and olfactory sensory functions, maintaining vision (20/40 corrected, near and distance), hearing clarity, lifting and carrying up to 15 lbs unassisted, and hearing whispered conversations at three feet.
- Be ambidextrous and able to work in dusty areas.
- Be qualified physically for respirator use as required.
- Use hand and power tools.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Computer literacy required.
- Work overtime as required.
