Mechanic, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance:
  Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs on a variety of small tools (electric and gas-powered) and light construction equipment
• Safety & Compliance:
  Maintain a safe workspace by identifying hazards and ensuring all work complies with OSHA and DOT regulations
• Field Support:
  Coordinate directly with field superintendents to assess equipment service needs and perform on-site repairs at various project locations
• Diagnostic Testing:
  Use manufacturer guidelines and checklists to troubleshoot mechanical issues; test all machinery post-repair to verify full resolution
• Record Keeping:
  Maintain detailed service logs and maintenance records using basic computer systems and digital documentation
• Shop Operations:
  Clean, wash, and prep equipment for deployment while assisting with general shop tasks as assigned

• Experience:
  
  Proven background as a Construction Mechanic, Equipment Maintenance Technician, or Diesel Mechanic
• Licensing:
  Valid driver's license is required; a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is highly preferred
• Background:
  Must be able to pass a standard background check
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in repairing small engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic components
• Professionalism:
  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a collaborative team

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Basic computer literacy (email, internet navigation, data entry)
• First Aid / CPR certification (Preferred)

• Schedule:
  
  Full-time, 40-hour work week
• Environment:
  Dynamic multi-activity worksites including both climate-controlled shops and outdoor field environments
• Transportation:
  Must have reliable personal transportation to commute to the shop and various job sites
