Strong preference given to applicants holding a current state license or Asheville city card.
- Repair, replace, and install electrical equipment and systems in commercial and industrial environments
- Communicate with foreman about daily and weekly tasks
- Understand and apply local, state, and federal electrical codes
- Use appropriate tools and testing equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with team members and maintain positive work conditions.
- Actively be involved with jobsite processes, with the goal being to successfully and safely complete the job.
- Interact with others on the job site in a professional manner as a JEC representative.
- Follow all directions from your foreman and superintendent
- Maintain a clean and safe work site and an organized material area.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, carrying, bending, crawling, climbing and balancing
- Experienced in commercial and industrial electrical work
- Ability to read blueprints
- Proficient in conduit installation (EMT, Rigid, PVC, Robroy)
- Two or three years of experience
- Proficient in wire pulling and termination
- Effective communication skills
- Strong work ethics with an emphasis on safety
- Strong time management skills
- Possess personal integrity and quality workmanship
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow through on assigned tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
