Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Electrician to join our team at Allegiance Industries, Inc. in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.

Location:

Charleston, SC
Environment:
Work on exterior and interior of buildings, in all conditions daily, in restricted or cramped areas, and at heights from ladders, scaffolds, etc.
Travel:
Must commute to new job sites as required.

• Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for lighting, climate control, security, and communications.
• Work with blueprints in manufacturing facilities, wastewater treatment plants, and other structures.
• Indicate on blueprints the location of circuits, outlets, load centers, panel boards, etc.
• Install new electrical equipment.
• Maintain and repair electrical systems quickly to minimize downtime.
• Replace items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, components, or wire.
• Collaborate with engineers or engineering technicians.
• Perform installation per NEC state/local regulations and complete construction documents while maintaining OSHA compliance.
• Review specifications, blueprints, and job scope for technical accuracy.
• Perform electrical testing and monitoring of systems and recommend improvements or repairs.
• Carry personal tools (~30 lbs.) and maintain good housekeeping (sweep, organize tools, clean surfaces).

• Technical ability to read and understand blueprints and technical diagrams and install or service electrical systems.
• Physical fitness and dexterity: climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, carrying equipment.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code.
• Detail oriented: follow safety standards and project designs.
• Independence: work on tasks with minimal help.
• Reliability & Responsibility: show up on time and produce consistent, quality work.
• Positivity: support and encourage teammates.
• Diligence: hardworking, work-ethic, exceed expectations.

• Valid Driver's License.
• Successful completion of background and drug screening.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of recognized apprenticeship or technical training program.
• Valid electrician’s license or certification as required by local/state regulations.
• Proven experience as an electrician (minimum X years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights when needed.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
