We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of routine maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel’s facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in basic repairs, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general maintenance and repair duties in areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and landscaping.
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical or electrical issues, and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in accordance with hotel standards and local regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintenance shop.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with the front desk and other departments regarding work order status.
- Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or unsafe conditions to management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of maintenance or handyman experience (hotel experience preferred).
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor.
- Hourly Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Shifts:
Varying shifts; must have availability for weekends and some holidays.
