Superintendent

Curtain Wall, Storefront, Glazing

Foreman/Superintendent

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Job description: Full Time

Position Description

A Glazing Foreman will represent the company on multiple job sites throughout the construction process. They will work with our Project Mangers, Glaziers, and General Contractors during pre-construction, installation, and punch-work phases of projects. They are expected to have specific knowledge and expertise in both Storefront and Curtain Wall installation and glazing of same. They must be able to supervise and inspect frame and glass installations.

They should be able to troubleshoot door hardware for both aluminum and heavy glass systems, including electrified locking hardware. Position will report to Senior Superintendent

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the company s installation standards on multiple jobsites.
  • Maintain required project paperwork including daily reports, toolbox talks, ETC.
  • Manage customer relations.
  • Coordinate weekly work schedules for multiple installations.
  • Communicate manpower needs with company PMs.
  • Manage site delivery of materials, and cross checking against orders.
  • Attend site meetings as needed.
  • Identify project deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
Required Skills & Certifications
  • Must be able to use construction tools including tape measures, power tools, plumbs/levels, ETC.
  • Need current lift and equipment safety certs.
  • Must be able to read & comprehend paper & electronic blueprints, installation instructions, shop drawings, hardware templates, and test reports.
  • Being bi-lingual is a plus but not required.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 5 years of commercial glazing experience
  • Must have a valid driver s license
Physical Requirements
  • Position requires working outside in the elements (all times of year)
  • May require heavy lifting at times
  • Off-hour work may be required at times
