Electrical Cable Helper

TEKsystems is partnering with a leading electrical/low voltage contractor to add Electrical Cable Helpers to active commercial projects. This is a great fit for candidates who have handson experience pulling cable and installing devices-and want to grow alongside licensed electricians and low voltage technicians.

• Pull, route, label, and dress low voltage and electrical cabling (CAT6, access control, CCTV, fire alarm, MC/BX).
• Assist electricians/mechanics with device installs, mounting hardware, and basic rough-in tasks.
• Use standard hand/power tools (crimpers, punchdown, cordless drill; basic test tools).
• Stage materials, keep work areas organized, and support site safety practices.
• Follow direction from leads/foremen and document daily progress as needed.

• 1-3+ years as an electrical helper, apprentice, or cable tech (commercial environment preferred).
• Basic understanding of low voltage/electrical installations; able to read simple diagrams or take direction to spec.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, and strong communication on active job sites.
• Ability to lift/pull/carry materials and work on ladders as required.
• Nice to have: exposure to NEC basics or trade school; experience with Honeywell/DSC/Silent Knight or similar.

• Fulltime, onsite; overtime may be available based on project timelines.
• PPE required; basic hand tools recommended.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
