Primary

Purpose:

Responsible for the successful installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting and repair of electrical components associated with facility and equipment related to the transfer and storage of bulk products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment , apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
• Connect wires to circuit transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with code.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as odometers, voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Comply with the work order process and follow progress to ensure completion.
• Assist in the tracking of maintenance costs, Ensure objectives and costs are achieved and consistent with budgetary constraints.
• Problem solver and creative thinker in order to provide solutions to improving the equipment performance.
• Advise terminal management of progress toward objectives and develop strategies for necessary adjustments.
• Receive and maintain equipment documentation ( blue prints, technical manuals, operational manuals)
• Accept supervision and work cooperatively with co-workers, customer representatives, regulators, KM staff and others.
• Other functions as trained and assigned. Knowledge of CMMS systems and functionality a plus.

Education:

High School degree or equivalent required. Experience / Specific Knowledge:
• A minimum of 3 years of previous successful or experience industrial maintenance is required.
• The Applicant must meet the criteria to obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC ) as required by USCG/DHS regulations
• Current Drivers License Competencies, Skills, abilities:
• Good oral and written communications
• Must be proficient in the use of computers and applications
• Ability to preform job duties with little or no supervision
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work safely with emphasis on following procedures and management practices
• Must be a problem solver with the ability to find resolutions.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and background check upon job offer. Physical Demands:
• Must not have a fear of heights
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
• Must be able to travel upon Supervisor request Preferred skills:
Understanding PLC logic

Other responsibilities:

Be able to assist or lead in mechanical maintenance including replacing gearboxes that are related to operating equipment.
