Foreman / Construction Site Lead Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Site Lead to organize and lead a crew in a safe and productive manner. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership abilities and experience in heavy equipment operation, even if they lack specific Superintendent experience.

• Organize and lead a crew in a safe and productive manner.

• Track production and complete paperwork daily.

• Maintain a clean and tidy job site.

• Lead by example and provide guidance and training to the crew.

• Communicate production goals to the crew and ensure accountability.

• Collaborate closely with the Site Superintendent.

• Follow company policies and procedures.

• 5 years of experience managing heavy equipment operating crew.

• Ability to operate multiple pieces of heavy equipment, including Dozer, Track Hoe, and Grader, at the highest level.

• Experience with GPS systems such as Trimble and Top Con.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

• Familiarity with civil construction and general labor tasks.

• Ability to read blueprints and perform installations.

• Experience with concrete work.

Work is local to the Charleston market, eliminating the need for travel. The position requires working outside in all weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat, and employees must provide their own personal protective equipment, such as boots, vests, hard hats, and gloves.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, SC.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 – $28.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Charleston,SC.
