Role Overview
This position is responsible for driving and installing various types of piles, such as steel, timber, or concrete, to support foundations and structures in marine and land-based environments. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with pile driving operations, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safe, productive work on challenging and dynamic job sites.
Primary Responsibilities- Must be able to rig and set piles (square and round concrete piles, steel pipe and H-piles) in the proper location and drive them to grade using hydraulic, diesel, or vibratory hammers.
- Must have proper knowledge of using and maintaining any type of power equipment required to fulfill job description.
- Must understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures while performing job duties.
- Handle, attach, and remove rigging from piling, pile hammer, and hammer leads.
- Operates winches to align barge at proper location.
- Install and remove pile templates.
- Operate pile hammers.
- Properly signal cranes.
- Cut off piles at proper elevation.
- Rigging and signaling certification preferred.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience.
- Understand construction safety standards and productively work safely.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Willing to work out of town and travel to project locations.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
