Duties
* Administers and maintains Aerial Port Squadron information systems hardware.
* Responsible for identifying, installing and managing software upgrade requirements.
* Provides guidance, assistance and training to customers.

* This position may be required to work other than normal duty hours and overtime may be required.
* Work may occasionally require employee to travel away from normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
* Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
* Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3.
* This position requires extended periods of standing, walking, stretching, bending, stooping or carrying of loads of paper, tapes, or cards that may weigh as much as 20 kilograms (45 pounds).
* This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations.
* Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available.
* This position may be designated mission essential based on local conditions. Mission essential personnel report for duty at normal times when the base is closed or delayed reporting, and remain on duty during phased or early release.

Qualifications:
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standards for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions for the GS-0335, Computer Clerk and Assistant Series. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR CURRENT/PREVIOUS FEDERAL EMPLOYEES:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes:
Applying LAN/WAN standards and equipment to the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN components such as routers, hubs, switches, and servers; assisting in the maintenance of network services, the installation/testing of workstations and peripherals, and the instruction of customers on accessing network services; utilizing configuration/life cycle management concepts to identify network component capabilities; and implementing customer support principles when receiving, responding to, and ensuring the resolution of customer's problems.
