Armed Diplomatic Security Officer Clearance Required Job Charleston area,South Carolina USA,Security

Position: Armed Diplomatic Security Officer- $33.35/hr (Clearance Required)

Inter-Con Security is searching for a motivated individual to fill the exciting role of an Armed Diplomatic Security Officer position located in Charleston, SC. This full-time position requires the minimum of a Secret clearance and pays $33.35 per hour plus $5.50 per hour for benefits.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency response to situations such as security alerts, civil disturbances, suspected or actual criminal violations and/or other life-threatening situations.

Provide facility patrols for security, fire, and safety.

Observe building occupants and visitors for compliance with rules and regulations.

Discover, prevent, and detain, when authorized by law, persons attempting or having gained unauthorized access to the controlled property.

Summon professional assistance and render First Responder First Aid to individuals who become injured or ill while in buildings, or on property under the control of the property.

Process visitors into the government facilities.

Perform such other functions as may be directed.

Minimum Qualifications

Be a minimum of 21 years of age
Must be a citizen of the United States
Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-secret clearance
Fluent in both the written and spoken English language
Possess a valid United States Real r's license

Requirements

(1) year of armed commercial security experience
Or (5) years of unarmed commercial security experience
Or minimum of (3) years of active military service at an E4 rank or higher with an honorable discharge (all military service must end with an honorable discharge)
(1) year of law enforcement or military police experience - not to include any academy training
Bachelor’s degree in any field. (Must be obtained in the U.S. or have U.S. Equivalency)
Or associate’s degree in criminal justice plus (1) year of commercial security experience

Work Environment and Schedule

Job operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors.
Position requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities.
Open availability Nights, Weekends, Holidays and overtime as directed (overtime occurs).
Work various shifts and Holidays as assigned.
Must maintain flexibility regarding job assignments and locations.
Time flexibility depending on the needs of the company.
