About the RoleAs a Front Desk Associate you will deliver exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests while maintaining an outstanding “Judgment Free Zone®” experience.
Key Responsibilities- Greet members and guests upon arrival, assisting with check‑in questions and concerns.
- Promote the Judgment Free Zone® by connecting with members on the club floor and supporting their fitness journeys.
- Resolve member concerns and refer them to management when necessary.
- Answer phones courteously and provide assistance to callers.
- Perform membership functions: sign‑ups, updates of contact/billing information, cancellations, collection of unpaid balances, and membership transfers.
- Conduct prospective member calls and tours, assessing membership needs.
- Execute retail transactions accurately and meet sales goals.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized environment, including exercise equipment, Black Card spa amenities, and restrooms.
- Perform a comprehensive walk‑through of all club areas, promptly addressing safety or cleanliness concerns.
- Report maintenance issues such as broken or missing equipment to appropriate staff.
- 6‑12 months of customer service experience preferred.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Willingness to become CPR/AED certified (training provided).
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Continuous standing and moving throughout the club during shifts.
- Verbal communication with members and callers throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals during duties.
- Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
- Ability to bend, twist, and move in various positions as required.
